Hot Fuzz

Went out to watch Hot Fuzz last night and it was a hoot. The first half was like Midsommer's Murders, all quite quaint and twee with just a hint of rotteness underneath. The second half (well, last third) was Bad Boys through and through.

Very funny with some quite outrageous violence and gory bits. Timothy Dalton's chin piercing had most people grimacing. You have to see it to believe it.

The new Frank Miller film is '300' - based on the actions of the Spartan against the Persians at Marathon. Looks like cool though some of my lady friends are very unimpressed.

TMA04 is taking up a lot of my time, too much to be honest and I can't wait for the submission of the thesis - have been taking up a lot of my time and I am losing my enthusiasm. MapAction is alo drawing in more of my time and I have been made a lead in the technical circle - this is the group that take's care of the technical aspects of the charity. A challenge to be sure.

Finally, my cousin Wing has given birth to a baby boy! What great news. Very proud of her and I am looking to visiting her and baby once there is a suitable time.

Saw hot fuzz ourselves on Tuesday - top entertainment. And for once we get it before our US friends :-)
