China - Sights and Sounds - Part Four

Guilin was the last stop on our China tour. Never really heard about the place but been told that it was the inspiration for all those dreamy looking pictures and paintings that has littered China's history. You know the ones: moss-covered limestone columns, misty rivers and crystal clear waters where fish can be seen swimming.

Fantastic scenery is the name of the game.

Arriving in Guilin at night we went to a nice hotel and had dinner at 10:00pm. A bit late but the food was very nice. The rooms were okay too with the entire hotel split into animal sections. I think we were in the 'goat' section.

Guilin - fascinating and beautiful. The first day was an all-day cruise on the river and then a tour around the city at night. Then the next day, we visited the Reed Flute Caves - another wonderful place. Looking forward to posting the pictures onto Flickr.

Hong Kong was the last stop in our tour. Ah miss China already.
