I had to install MS Outlook 2007 in order to use MS Groove (why I hear you all ask?) - don't ask.
Anyway, since I have 1000s of emails and frequently need to refer to old ones; I needed a better search tool. The built in one with MS Outlook 2007 is ghastly and adds a number of processes to my already overloaded system. Slow as pregnant hippo going up hill.
I used to use a neat tool called 'Lookout' - a very brief history of it is here and yes, it doesn't work under Outlook 2007. At least not out of the box but the chap who wrote this tool blogged about how to install lookout on Outlook 2007. It's here.
However, there are other problems too but Leon has some other suggestions.
