Back in the UK now - pretty good flight: the check-in was quick and easy and I had a spare seat next to me on the flight back. Lots of room to sprawl and the food was OK too. My last day in NY had us wandering around the NY - the sun was finally shining there and made NYC look very nice. Shame that on the day that I am leaving things brighten up, even walking round the block is more pleasant. Oh well, next time.

There is a slight sting on returning to the UK: all of a sudden I miss some NY experiences: the all night delis with hot sandwiches, the yellow taxi cabs and the rattling MTA subway. I miss the food and the vibrancy of the place. Very tired now as I am still on NY time so I will take a nap and get up for lunch. Looking forward to work though not the potential disasters that may be looming for me. Going to see mum later tonight and to check out my brother's latest toy: his iPod.
