Lots of discussion on the Matrix:Reloaded and the debate goes on. I think I have settled on a number of facts =
1. Neo is human - though Trinity and Morpheus (gulp) may be a bit more than they are letting on
2. Agent Smith is the true Matrix Anomaly, Neo was always expected and therefore planned for. I doubt Agent Smith was and so we might have an interesting predicament where Neo and Agent Smith are trying to understand each other's worlds (Man and Machine) and the fight is over who attains enlightment first. If it is NEO, then there'll be peace between man and machine. If Agent Smith wins, there'll be destruction.
3. Oh yes, I think we are being set up for a sting here: If Neo wins, man and machine attain a sort of understanding and man remains an integral part of the Matrix (in some form) while if Agent Smith wins - total destruction of everything. Man and Machine die. Now what would be this man and machine understanding? Surely, the Matrix will not suddenly turn off and allow all the plugged in humans awake for the first time? No, I don't think so. I am going to cheer for Agent Smith.....
