Had a great time in Hong Kong - my last visit was two years ago. The weather was a nice bearable 23degress and not many mosquitoes!!! We had to get the new ID cards done:credit-card sized things with finger print information on it. The idea is to use it for online transactions, e-voting etc in addition to it acting as a 'normal' identification card. Quite impressive undertaken by the HK government.
Have always been impressed with the public transport there and with their new automated 'octopus' cards (cards which you can place credit into) available for us on the metro, train AND buses. Means that you can hop on and hop off quickly and easily. Just make sure you charge the card with money on a regular basis.
Sheng Sui and Luen Wo Hui, two towns in the NT had changed a lot and all for the better. Both have quite big indoor shopping plazas and non of the unhygienic outdoor eateries I was familiar with two years ago. Impressed with the public toilets too - all clean with attendants servicing them on a regular basis. Same with the trash cans too.
With my ID card I am tempted to consider my future in Hong Kong - I know I will enjoy it there. Speaking of enjoying myself - I was intending to treat myself to Matrix III on my return but most people have told me to avoid it due to the intense disappointment they have had experienced. Hmmmm, still need to check it out myself I think.
