Drove two hours to Colchester for the wedding reception with mum and bro. Lovely ceremony and it was thrilling to see my cousins - some who I have NEVER seen. All had grown up now and it was great catching up. My cousin W, looked stunning. Indeed, she was a princess and looked the part. Both the bride and groom we very nervous when they exchanged vows but they got through it and then, of course - there was the 100s of photo opportunities as the bride and groom posed with all the different combinations of cousins, friends and hangers on.
Going back to the groom's place for a couple of hours gave me time to catch up with my cousins. All are doing well with partners they are happy with and work is going well. Food at the groom's place was a problem: there wasn't enough so the groom's brothers went to the nearby KFC and purchased EVERTHING. Yes, the car came back with buckets and buckets of 'chicken' from KFC. I was told that this KFC had nothing left. Wish I was there.
Around 13:00 we drove back to London for the wedding reception/dinner. It took two odd hours but we got there. An entire section of the restaurant was cordoned off for us and we ate and had fun. The video karaoke was a nightmare though and me and most of my cousin's declined.
Karaoke = horrid embarrassment.
Wonderful to see my cousins, must keep in touch with them - as it has been too long in many cases. Something I regret.
