Wardrobes

Ach - a big pan full of soup and a moving car. A very bad combination. I braked and the soup sloshed out in a big way, all over the inside of the passenger footwell. Spent a bit of the sunday cleaning it up before helping my brother put together a wardrobe. Damn thing looks like a small sauna it is so big. However, by 7pm we had finished and it looks like the dogs bollocks.

Onto news: the government is testing the waters on taxing drivers per mile. Sounds interesting but the current fuel duty, while a bit cumbersome, is still effective and should be kept. If tax per mile is in place, there is no incentive to use a smaller, more fuel efficient car anymore. This is a bad thing. The government needs to propose a package of measures but I am sympathetic to them: ultimately it requires the population to want to do something and many people simply are not bothered. They complain about public transport and the commuting but don't seem to understand that it is all part of the lifestyle and culture now in the UK. We need to change our attitudes to work and life and achieve a better balance before complaining about things.
