London got hit early in the morning by at least four bombs - 3 on tubes and one bomb on a bus. So far casualties number 45 but I fear more as news comes in. Most fingers are pointing at Al-Qaeda. Kings Cross and Russell Square and Liverpool st: places that I am so familiar with. It is chilling to hear that death and destruction is now associated with these areas.
My brother was ok - he left early and walked home and probably will not be back at work tomorrow as it is too dangerous.
The act is barbaric and reprehensible - even though I am against the war in Iraq that is no excuse for the killing of innocents. However, there are probably many on both sides of the divide who regard this attack with glee: it means that the relationship becomes more polarised and hate more common. These fuckers better not win. They are scum.
