The decapitation of Saddam failed. Though people think it is a pre-recorded video. Dunno about it, though Saddam's death should shorten the war and remove any pretence for more fighting.
I know the Americans are hyper-sensitive to the civilian casualties (as they should be) so I hope carpet bombing is now not an option.
