I went to Ellis Island yesterday and the place is cool and quite emotional - all those immigrants and their dreams and voices. Funny that for a nation of immigrants many, once becoming Americans, forget where they came from. Also visited the Statue of Liberty...wouldn't it be funny if the French demanded the old lady back? Then in the evening went out to the Natural History museum for a lecture on Genomes. Quite interesting but we all decided on going out for a beer and pizza to help us digest all that knowledge.
Ach, New York had a bit of snow yesterday and it is still bitterly cold outside. I am planning a shopping trip today: off to Century 21 for some discount clothing and maybe see some more sights in Chinatown - I need to pick up some stuff there anyway as I am cooking dinner the next two nights.
