My Open University exam today was quite hard - I tried to revise all of the last two weeks but after coming back from New York and then straight into a four day walking trip in Wales certainly didn't help. My preparation during last week was awful: all my fault really. I wanted to see friends and play football and there was the thrilling 4-3 Champions League match between Manchester United and Real Madrid and the crucial Celtic versus Boavista match on thursday night. Weekend had me hanging out with friends and a little bit of revision. OK, so I spent all sunday morning and afternoon cramming. Normally, I am very good at exam preparation but this time with the vacation and public holiday I really didn't have the time.
The exam itself was hard - despite the fact that I had read the featured case study back to front about ten times. I had three hours to do three questions and to be honest, I could have had double the time. I think this is partly due to me groping for the right tone and words for the answer when if I was more prepared I could have just simply condensed my ramble down into a nice sentence or two. Oh well, I hope I have done enough to pass and I am relying on my course work to carry me through.
The weather in London is horrible: it is wet and gray and well, horrible. Am waiting for a train to take me to a hotel up North and sipping a Mocha at (horror, the horror) Starbucks. OK, On train now and quite impressed, the long-distance journeys appear to be served by quite good trains and the seat is comfortable and aisles are clean and quite spacious. First time for me and am very impressed.
