So we have evidence that Iraq was deliberately siphoning off money from the Food for Oil programme and either pocketing it directly or transferring it to his armies. Shock horror! He's a dicator, dummy. Sanctions never hurt the ruling elite only the poor of the country. There is evidence that Saddam was actively buying dual use equipment (what like an F-15 Eagle?) for the last 15 years! So? His army was well and truly smashed after the first Gulf war and besides, the decade of this 'sanction-busting' sure didn't help Saddam. Are we hinting that all this siphoning and purchasing of dual-use equipment (such as an ice cream van that can double as a tank) is currently hiding in the desert somewhere with the bulk of the loyal Iraqi army ready to launch a devasting counter-strike?

There is evidence that French and Russian companies were actively selling equipment to Iraq! So? Britain quite happily has been selling weapons to anyone as do the Americans, Chinese, Israeli and a host of others. Today's friendly customer could be tomorrow's enemy and vice versa - just like, er, Iraq.

Oh no! there is evidence that there are links with Al-Qaeda - Saddam indeed is in bed with Osama.

I don't care about all this - right now things have to move quick to get Iraq back onto its feet and without the country falling apart and into anarchy. All the above is noise and is a pathetic attempt at justifying the war. Look, the pro-war lobby won this round and the pro-peace group lost it. Both sides, wake up and get on with helping Iraq.
