Went over the the Museum of Modern Art now temporarily based in Queens. Had to stand in a queue after I had purchased a ticket as the place was so popular. The diner round the corner must have been doing some superb business as loads of visitors had to wait for their turn to get in. My first impressions of Queens is that it is full of graffitti and for many visitors; it was an eye-opener from the tempo of NYC. Some of the commentary about the Picassos and Matisses are bollocks: poeple are trying to be too smart. Jackson Pollack's stuff is quite interesting and Dali's is always an eye opener.
Quite impressed but some of the contempary stuff is downright wierd.
