I think I have become an EBay addict as the goods I have ordered are now slowly filtering through the postal system. Damn this is fun though my credit card bill will be a bit hot at the end of this month!

The weather is really improving now and this is a good thing though I jope summer gets here quickly!

Had a crack at Unreal 2004 Tournament and was blown away by it - you can get into vehicles AND have your mates hop on as gunners. Superb stuff and bound to keep all frag happy players happy. Roll on Half-Life 2 I say.

Work had me confront a monseter project about to implode. I was brought in primarily as damage control as our software plays a part in the application and they were blaming us. I went in there and within two minutes it was obviously some other bit - since we had no presence, it was easy to blame us. Throughout my two day input - the consultants (from various teams and divisions) all worked feverishly but there was an undercurrent of hysteria and panic throughout the building. Another PFI project royally fucking up.
Still, I wished I could help them - but the facts were; our software was not (yet) failing so my input was to tell them that. I left on friday but have had a dozen emails already from the clients.

One more week to my first 10K cross country - I am ready as I have been running a 10K run each weekend for the past four weeks. Should be able to do it now and under 50 minutes I hope. That is my target anyway.

Examination for my open university course in two weeks and my revision is stop/start and nothing much I can do about it. Too much work and I need some time for myself as well.

When is the next bank holiday?
