Tired from my run last night - entered a 10KM run around a lovely place called Thame and got 50:54 - way above my target and hence my disappointment. I did do an easy 6KM run on wednesday and thought knew that this would prepare me. I know that on the run on sunday, at the 6KM mark - I felt fresh and slackened off as I was day dreaming and not concentrating on my pace. Anyway, come 8.5KM and I started to speed up but only a little bit. Imagine my horror when, about 500m away I realised that the clock was ticking towards the 50 minute mark! I sprinted but wasn't fast enough.
Also, with over 650 runners I struggled to get towards the front of the pack and lost many seconds by the time I came across the start line!
I need a stop watch I think in my next race.
After the run I rushed back out to see someone in London, had a great time and discovered that Nando's chicken isn't too bad. I am sure that there are horror stories but I had a good time and the food tasted good too.
Now back at work and boy is it busy - and why is it that some of the worst customers are your companies employees? Taking advantage and all that. Damn pain in the backside if you ask me.
Discovered Gmail as well with the 1GB mail storage and all online as well. Cool.
Must update my web page when I have a mo'.
