Gutted. England lost to Portugal on (guess what?) penalties. Granted, England didn't look at all threatening after Owen scored in the 3rd minute and once Rooney went off - the English attack became non-existent. We lost it in midfield to an ineffective Portugal - whom got stronger as we got weaker. Once Portugal went 2-1 up I almost died so thank God for the equaliser!

Nothing wrong with Sol's header that would have won the game, the ref said it was a push but that is a load of bollocks. We should copy some of the things the Americans do in NFL and use instant replays for goal mouth events. At least the ref could see what millions of other fans could and he could not: there was no push and Sol was a good goal. England should be in the semi's.
